    Weight 21.76lbs

Built up as a modern version of a Team Ti, with a fair bit of modern kit, it won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I build bikes the way I like ’em 😉

Decided to go 1×9 speed as it’s pretty flat round here, so the outer ring will be going once my new chainring bolts turn up, I also have a chain device to fit, it may require some fettling though.

I do have the original White Industries/Shimano XT/Mavic wheelset for this bike as it would be a shame to split them from the bike, but as I already had the Hope wheelset I used those for this build

Can’t believe how light it is, I didn’t even try to go all weight weenie on it at all!

Should be a right blast on the trails, so far it’s only been to work and back on the road.

Springy & nippy are two words that spring to mind!

    Cheers!

Looking at it in the pics I think flat bars might be in order

I’ll flip the spacers round tomorrow to simulate a flat bar height

Hmm OnOne Fleegle’s maybe for a giggle?

Anyone know of any nice silver flat (ish) bars in a 25.4 clamp?

    Very nice.

Flat silver bars on fleabay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/J-L-Titanium-Handle-Bar-Flat-bar-25-4-580mm-150g-Ti-/280653342724?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41583e2804 Don’t know if it’s any good but a Ti bar would go well with that bike.

I had seen those too, just a little unsure of their quality & how flexy they are, I might be able to blag a different pair of Ti bars off a mates bike to try em

And if anyone knows where I can find a nice silver stem (without breaking the bank), 90mm 1 1/8th steerer & 25.4mm clamp I can put these bars and stem back onto my Orange Clockwork 😉

Chainring bolts have arrived, so the outer ring is off and the XCX chainguide is on… with a little fettling…

Might go for a spin tomorrow, so I’ll take the camera with me 😉

’95 Marins are all dat bling shizzle, innit?

I think the angles and handling of Marins in ’95 was perfect. Wonderful. I love mine.

    Shakedown completed!

Well a distinct lack of shaking, buttery smooth ride even on the choppiest of bridleways 😀

Brakes need a little fettling & rims need a quick tweak of the spoke key, apart from that everything works beautifully

I think I may look into a 11-34t cassette as the 11-32t cassette I have at the mo isn’t quite low enough.

I achieved 30mph spinning out on the 11t, just looked up the cadence on that, it’s over 120RPM!

    Anyhoo, some pictures…
