viewranger (from viewranger.com)

Costs money, but very good. Although I wouldn't expect masses of updates for the Nokia version in the future, as Nokia is a bit of an outdated platform in terms of applications. If you buy the Nokia version, you can copy your maps across to Android or iPhone if you get a newer phone though.

Sports tracker is free and has some navigation functionality - It provides a real time trace of your route on your phone. Does it with google maps rather than OS maps so might be a bit limited out in the wilds

2nd viewranger. I've paid for it and that's saying something. It'll take open source maps, too. I've used on-line mapping too like google maps and wheresthepath but you need a good signal for those but it is handy occasionally. Sportstracker is good, too, for logging.

sporttracker for me, i love it. They have also just relaunched the app, so it looks posher, although it isn't live yet. Not really a great maping tool, more a training diary.

Don't think Nokia would have any Android OS....

Sportstracker and Viewranger for me. Haven't used VR much but ST is brilliant. It's due an update tomorrow to launch the community website. I've also got the heart rate monitor which is cool.

Viewranger works very well for me, use it hiking and on the bike, with OS mapping at 1:25000.

Cool have downloaded VR for it and it's looks good, is there some method of downloading routes from the web onto it? or is it more of an OS map in your pocket?

Save the routes from the web onto your SD card, then in viewranger open Data manager, then from there go to import gpx on the menu and you can import web routes.
