Hi iv just recently purchased a used trek fuel ex8 it’s the 2008 model and was wondering what size the rear shock was?? I don’t have the tools to remove the shock to measure it properly so thought someone on here would be able to help me out!!

You should be able to google it. If you have the correct info I find it for you

iv tried googling it and searched on here finding nothing! its as above in the 18.5 frame size

Measure between the bolts for the i2i length, according to the trek guide, the stroke length is 50mm.

right iv done that and iv got 90mm does that sound about right and is the stroke measurement the length of the cylinder that goes inside the shock??

90mm seems VERY short, my guess would be nearer 190mm.

And yes, give or take a few mm

I had a 2008 EX9 and that was a 190mm with a 50mm stroke shock,if that helps
