Could just mean I’ve completely desensitised to it all.

I think it’s more that a conversation about replacing part of a toilet got feisty at all. It’s like arguing over the best shade of beige.

I thought the same but then I have not contributed to it nor have any interest in doing so. I am an outsider on that one and it does just look like most threads – arguing and point scoring for the sake of it.
I personally find it better to just leave a comment and then return a day later which removes the back and forth and the emotion and any replies can be caught the next day.
