Off to Morzine on Friday. We've got a mixed group so a few days riding, some walking and some rafting. Anybody got some routes for a good walk, ideally somewhere that can only be reached on foot? If there is wild swimming then that would be good, too. I'm planning on doing the roc d'enfer (anyone done this? will we die?) and possibly somewhere towards pointe rousse or golette but any suggestions welcome.

Roc d'enfer is a lovely walk (quite airy at the top!) you wont die.

Best walks are away from the ski area, ie up towards the tete du bostan, rousse etc. More of a slog but feels much more remote.
Montriond lake is a nice swim but not really wild!

    +1 Lake Motriond

Also Lac de mines d'or was a nice spot away from town. We drove there but there were plenty of walks signposted up into the mountains and not a bike in sight.

If you go up the tete du bostan, take the steep dotted path on the IGN map, much more interesting than the longer slog.
