I’ve taken tomorrow off work (got to see to Susan’s bush), but w-bound was closed and e-bound had one lane open. Don’t know what the forecast is for morning.

An Asda and B&Q lorry paired up to block 2 lanes that were being marked as closed – I chuckled imagining how this would send the usual driving gods into a filtering-frenzy and felt torn as to whether they were doing the right thing, but blow me, the traffic moved a hell of a lot quicker 😉

The last time we went in and there after the BMXing and there was a lone, solitary pie in the pie fridge

I’ll start the traditional MNPR thread on Thursday. This is just an appetizer in much the same way that the bike ride is only the starter before the pie eating.

After you left last night we had a discussion about possibly doing a ‘one off’ MNPR Road Ride in the next 2 or 3 weeks in and around the Cragg Vale area. It seemed like a well supported idea but what do you reckon?

I’d be up for that. We can discuss over a pie.

If anyone is interested I’m doing a 35k road bike “dawn patrol” on Saturday morning. 5:45 outside Prestwich Liberal Club if you fancy it. 😉

Just a note for the future – Chatting to the guy at the Ainsworth over a cooling Cornish pils and he’s willing to get special nibbles (even pork pies) if we give him a bit of notice.
