Proper new recruits, or the return of the various Lees?

Maybe Prestwich Chvck could join us. The route will have a couple of big-ish off road climbs, a rocky bit along the tops and an absolute hoot of a moorland descent. 2 hours / 10 miles / big views. Assuming that Daz doesn't go completely off-plan.

Assuming I've survived sleeping in a ditch in the Lakes on the weekend, I should be there.

I could try and drag the army of Lees out too! Dunc broke in two MNPR virgins on our last MNPR, and as they're still alive - there weren't enough of us out to dig two shallow graves on the moors - they'll be joining us on Monday.

Their first ride was rubbish

Oh... while we're on photo's. Friendface tells me that these were taken on an MNPR Mordor ride exactly 2 years ago

Not exactly off-plan, but it will involve a new twist on the classic Mordor route. It comes with an excellent photo opportunity, and a lot of hopping between rocks 🙂

It is indeed your good self. You were my muse/moggul for the evening, later to be drawn up and used for this...

I'll see if I can get my new bottom bracket fitted to the bouncy bike over the weekend, which on closer inspection, now seems to have escalated into a complete new drive-chain and various other bits and bobs. I suspect that I'll be needing suspension on Monday

Does this imply hike-a-bike?

So long as my legs aren't dead tomorrow then I'm in (I'm bringing the "cheating" bike :p).

Is Daz still alive? I've just seen his Strava from the weekend! EEK!

The Rammy contingent aren't going to make it tonight. We've got some previous members (Lee and Daz) returning to the fold, neither of whom have even so much as looked at their bikes in over a year. So we're going to do a very leisurely splinter group ride, and reintegrate them back into the MNPR fold next week

7.30 start from the Shoulder of Mutton if anyone fancies joining us

I am indeed still alive. A little sore in regions you don't want to know about after 35 hours wearing the same pair of shorts, but otherwise ok. I'll be there tonight, what's one more hill?

There is a very small amount of hike-a-bike (unless you're very good at hopping up 2ft rocks steps), but trust me it's worth it.

See you all tonight, although I've completely lost track of who's coming 🙂

We'll have to wear name badges at this rate. Reminds me of the ride many years ago when Hora claimed to be someone else.

Tempted, as not got out today, looking after Mrs B and her broken collarbone, Dazh’s extra and hike a bike is worrying, can’t have two cripples in the house

Nothing stupid please Daz. I've got to drive to Southwold next week, and last time I did it I had a broken wrist.

Calm down all, the gnarly stuff is uphill, hence the walking. The rest is no worse than you get on the normal Mordor route.

We’re off to check out how dry Bull Hill and Interstellar are. Could be an option for next week

Bull Hill and Interstellar was pretty good last Tuesday even after the torrential downpour and it has been pretty hot since then. Should be good 🙂

Interstellar is dry and dusty. REPEAT: INTERSTELLAR IS DRY AND DUSTY!!!

Well... most of it is. Theres still an added Russian Roulette element involved. Is it actually baked dry? Or is it a Creme Brûlée-esque skin with a wheel-swallowing mush underneath it?

After the two big units - over 30 stone of me and Daz - made it through unscathed, Lee's front wheel was swallowed up to the axle, hurling him over the bars into a bog. So the rest of us arrived back at the pub spotlessly clean, except lee, who looked like he's been gravy-wresting

Not bad up on't tops though. To say the least. Forecast is dry until Monday though, so it should be storming next week 😀
