The tree's a niche organic freerange bike stand that was built in the woods. ๐Ÿ˜‰

First ride tonight. It's okay I s'pose.

I think my brain needs slight recalibration to cope with the speed though.

Rode my 2 month old Tallboy C round The Beast trail at Coed-Y-Brenin for the first time yesterday, you're right, it almost felt like cheating at times, kept having to wait for my mates ๐Ÿ˜†

In it's element at above Loch Torridon yesterday.

I've got it 1X10 XT/ SLX
SLX brakes with 205mm hope rotor on front
Reverb
Float 34
Stans Flow on Hope front/ SS trizoid rear

The fork is ridiculously good on the long rocky section I was riding testerday. Plush, not divey, stiff, planted.
The bike just makes you want to go fast, everywhere.

Crikey that's a bit mainstream! Perhaps uber niche is last year...

Nice though.

Nice. Approximately what do they weigh? What do you reckon the weight premium is for a 29er over a 26er?

mine says just over 30lbs on my cheap n nasty scales

frame is very light so weight premium over a 26er is purely rims and tyres so 55g on a flow rim and tyres 100g ish?

Oh don't worry there's plenty of bikes made in sheds keeping it company in the garage. ๐Ÿ˜€

See the thing is now some of the mainstream manufacturers are making what i want i don't have to buy from nicheists in sheds.
Though I still do.
All bikes.
All good. 8)

I'm loving the way this thing rides.
Quite odd that a bike that descends so well can also climb as well as it does.
