This means I can’t recieve emails. I cleared out all the folders and the deleted items folder but still the problem persists.

    Outlook 2002, using Virgin.

    Any ideas?

One big email? Possibly containing pictures or a movie?
Can you view the sizes of individual emails?

My father-in-law is always trying to send me all 100 pics he took on holiday as attachments to a single email.

Have you checked your sent items too?

    One big email?
    Your calendars?
    Your ‘Sent’ box?
    Still in ‘Deleted Items’?

Usually one of the above for me..

In outlook, on the mail bar on the LH side of the screen.

Right click on the top folder ‘Mailbox – your name’

select “properties for ‘Mailbox – your name’

    select the ‘folder size’ button.

In there, you should be able to see which folder is the big one.

Are the posts being deleted on the Virgin Media server? Try logging into you email using the Webmail service and look at the folders on the server. Chances are, you’re moving stuff out of the Inbox on your PC but not deleting any – in which case they stay on the server.

Oh – and remember that your allowance is shared across all the mailboxes on your account – including all aliases.

all folders were cleared. I checked the webmail login and there was nothing in it!

I think my dad is maybe sending MASSIVE photos of his new motorcycle…

Cheers, I’ll go double check all the suggestions above.
