You would have seen it on numerous independent news/video sources if it were.
All thise spectators, not a single iphone vid?Why is it so difficult to believe?
The ‘board’ has a few small Jet Engines attached and there’s plenty of places to carry enough fuel.
Seems perfectly possible to me.
There’s also…
Oh and I saw this guy on the National News a couple of weeks ago 8)

All that flying around and no POV camera? Everyone has POV cameras!

Elaborate hoax I reckon. Also the way his ripples in the water don’t effect the other ripples in the water makes it look fake.Hoverboard looks perfectly feasible.
Latest video that featured the jet pack fella. He’s moved it on a bit and it sounds like there’s a fair bit more progress in the pipeline.

Posted 5 years agoThe arm jetpack has what 15seconds of superbly inspirational run time.
The hoverboard may be an equally inspiring functional product that does indeed generate lift for an extremely small amount of time ,but the video suggests it’s a complete product.
Arm.jetpack has full hud systems monitoring, the hoverboard doesn’t even suggest or show any control systems and you’d be inclined to believe it’s lean and go.. but operating in 3 dimensions??I’d suggest a heavily edited hoax.

Unfortunately 😉the hoverboard doesn’t even suggest or show any control systems
It does show him with some hand throttles when he’s getting kitted up. Not saying you’re wrong though.
Posted 5 years agoshould be wearing a green goblin outfit
the overhead shots where it’s exactly tracking the jet ski look odd.
Posted 5 years agoNot sure if it is real or not, but not sure why people think it is so unfeasible. I certainly think it could be real. Its a pretty simple thing in reality. 4 jet engines in line, no need for a ‘control system’ as such, just a system to make sure you’re getting equal thrust from all 4 engines and they respond the same for differing throttle control inputs. Flight control is provided by the pilot via weight shift – so no different to those water jet hover board things like the one going off in the background – which are real because i’ve seen them with my own eyes, and my dad had a go on one on holiday. Just needs a tremendous sense of balance – just like with Richard Brownings Rocket Man setup – except without requiring extraordinary physical ability.
The addition to HUD on the the Rocket Man setup is recent and is nothing to do with control -control is entirely manual – constant thrust, achieves lift and control entirely through balance and changing the vector of the thrust – raises off the ground by pulling his arms into his side to change the thrust vector to a more vertical position – he said in the Adam Savage video he tried varying the thrust but just too much going on for him to keep up with, so now keeps a constant thrust to simplify the control.
Combine this with Yves Rossy, the Jet Man setup and you’ve got a pretty interesting system.
Posted 5 years agoIt’s real, there’s a few videos of it on youtube.
It’s also in the Guiness Book of Records..

1984! Yup, 33 years ago it was possible, so i doubt it’s that unfeasible that private individuals are doing the same thing now??
Posted 5 years agoThere’s one crucial factor that limits the usability of all of these things – the tiny amount of fuel that any user is capable of carrying means a runtime of seconds, or at most a few minutes.

It’s official then. I’m stupid. Rorshach has got a graph to prove it. Well at least I know now.

Yeah, that backpack is full of kerosene (sounds safe…) From the figures quoted in that interview it sounds like the runtime is a couple of minutes.
Posted 5 years agoPretty cool actually. This vid real and looks far less hoaxy than then OP’s one.
Even has a POV camera 😉
