    I’ve just had both bikes out next to each other and considering how different they are, they are also very similar.
    The Geometron is a bit longer but head, seat angles and reach are very similar.

    Geometron is 180/155 though the forks are over pressurised in the negative chamber to sit around 165mm, and 17.2KG

    Airdrop Bitmap is 140mm and 13.2KG.

    I have far too many grey bikes if that’s what you mean. Wish I’d gone for Hubble purple on my latest bike, just to jazz up the garage if anything

    Got a real mixed bag from full suspension to LLS hardtail, fully rigid single speed, fat bike, gravel bike and a 26 inch commuter bmx thing. All very different and all bring a smile if used appropriately 😀

    Both road bikes are identical set up, reach etc. MTB’s same with saddle height, but one’s a FS and the other a 90’s MTB so both quite different.

    Got no pictures of my actual bikes but they’re quite different

    My first 29er to replace a stolen Geometron

    Off the shelf PBJ to replace custom built PBJ

    The Norco is a decent bike but I haven’t done any decent riding on it yet. Still gutted about losing my G16. Going from 520mm reach down to 485 felt odd at first. Even though it has bigger wheels it feels much more agile and playful. It should be fun if I ever take it anywhere.

    I’ve been using the PBJ the most on local jumps and pump tracks. Just trying to have fun and learn how to ride again. I’m not getting any younger and if I’m not careful I’ll become a wheels-on-the-ground mincer.

    Both bikes have ground anchors with MASSIVE chains around them.

    Like the 180 triple clamps, how are they to ride? Are they the lightweight “Enduro” Formula triple crowns?

    Stooge Mk4 – Long, Green, steel is real, 29er, no suspension

    Nicolai Helius – short (2015), anodised aluminium, 27.5″, 160/140 suspension

    So nothing like each other except they both run the same grips

    All mine are different, not sure I see the point of having bikes too similar. Unless you’re minted of course.

    I’ve 5 bikes and are:
    – Steel Road bike
    – Aluminium cross bike
    – Rigid 29er singlespeed
    – LLS steel hardtail
    – Carbon cross-country full suspension

    Bikes I’d like get are:
    – Foldable bike, maybe a Brompton
    – Light e-bike trail/enduro full suspension

    My bikes do tend to end up with similar brake and gear levers setup/angles as well as same brand of pedals and grips without planning it.

    @sharkattack – sounds like you need another Geometron in your life, so you should definitely sell me your Sight!

    I have 3 bikes now. At one point I had 5 3 of which were carbon rim brake road bikes which all had similar geometry so were all the same really. Now I have a 2012 YT Wicked 160 but it’s running 650b wheels and a 2021 On One Freeranger. The 3rd is a 1997 GT Tequesta which I’m trying to get set up for my daughter.

    Pretty different:
    Transition Spur. Little short travel ripper.
    Forbidden Dreadnought. Crushes everything.
    Spec Kenevo SL. Basically a DH bike. With a motor.

    @sharkattack – sounds like you need another Geometron in your life, so you should definitely sell me your Sight!

    I’d love to but I’ll have to stick with what I have for the foreseeable.

    If I could splurge on another bike I’d buy a DH bike. Just because I really miss riding them and the modern ones look amazing compared to my old 26″ YT Tues, which probably wasn’t much bigger than the PBJ.

    @honourablegeorge they are great, normal Nero R’s with 2 x 10mm travel reducers inside, previously had 36 Grip2 with a Lufkappe (which are going on the Bitmap when I get round to ordering an new air shaft) and these are much plusher off the top, loads of mid stroke support and still seem to have endless travel even with the travel reduced.

    Uphill and lifting it over gates there no noticeable difference to the 36’s, and it’s actually move comfortable to carry across the shoulders hike-a-biking.

    I’ve still got a lot of tinkering to do with the 3 way air spring and Neopos, and to get a 29 front wheel at some point.

    Quite different really: green (‘trail’ HT), purple (FS), orange (FS, shagged), gray (x-bike semi-shagged and in the lbs), black and white (road, unridden since covid). oh and red (road, ancient, in a wahoo thingy. Been on it twice this year).

    Not very similar/quite different.

    2016 Giant Trance – 150/140mm full sus, 67deg head angle, 73.5deg seat tube angle, 425mm reach.

    2019 Giant Revolt Advanced – gravel thing, 71deg head angle, 73deg seat tube angle, 385mm reach.

    2021 Sonder Broken Road – 100mm hard tail, 67deg head angle, 73deg seat tube angle, 455mm reach.

    Different bikes for different rides. 🙂

    One goes up hill a bit better than the other.

    1. Short-travel alu trail bike 110mm rear with 130mm fork – 460mm reach

    2. Mid-travel steel trail/enduro bike 140mm coil rear with 160mm fork – 485mm reach

    3. Alu super-enduro bike 170mm coil rear with 190mm fork – 475mm reach

    All ride quite differently, which is important to me. Hardly ever ride the big bike now though.

    Rigid carbon fat bike, with 26×4.8 tyres and 29×2.4 tyres (for sale…)

    150mm 29er steel hardtail, super short chainstays

    140/125mm 27.5 carbon FS. Trail/downcountry bike

    160/140mm 29er carbon FS Trail/enduro bike

    170-190/160mm 27.5 dual crown carbon gearbox FS Enduro/DH sled.

    Steel gravel bike

    Fast summer carbon road bike

    The Fast one

    So different but enough overlap to cover similar riding if one is out of action…

    My two are really similar but really different:

    2019 Levo with 160mm Lyrik RC2 (42mm offset), Hope Tech 3 V4 brakes, 50mm stem, FatBar Lite 760 wide /40 rise, 165mm cranks, Vaults, 185mm Revive dropper, EX511 on Pro4 wheels, XT 11 speed.

    2022 Pipedream Moxie built with basically the same parts, brakes E4 and discs 17mm smaller (203/183), wheels the old ones off the Levo, and singlespeed.

    The idea was that the Moxie’s front end would feel similar but the back is more like a giant BMX (no suspension or gears). Wheelbases are within a few mm but Moxie is ~20mm shorter chainstay, ~20mm longer reach. Rest of the geometry (when riding) is v close.

    They’re really nice to swap between – my strange plan worked!

    I have a gravel bike a ATB. I seem to spend my time and money making the gravel bike better off-road and the ATB better for the road. I don’t know why this should be.

    Enjoy them all although loving the ebike at the mo, being the newest toy.

    Geometry between the Ripmo and the Giant is similar, which is one of the reasons I went for the Giant.

    Ragley Trig. 650b, steel gravel bike.
    On One Whippet, 29er, rigid, carbon XC thing with old school angles.
    Orange Stage 5, 29er, 150/135mm, aluminium big bike.
    Pace RC627, 650b, steel hardtail. Frame only, bought today to build up.

    Reckon that properly covers all my bases. Oh, and 3x retro Orange Clockwork’s. 🙂

    Road bike.
    XC hardtail.
    Trail bike.

    XC hardtail is going to go as I think I’m probably faster on almost everything on the big and heavy trail bike.

    I’ve been accumulating bikes for a few years now and have an embarrassing range of drop barred bikes, all different but only in very subtle ways.

    Single speed ‘proper’ winter mudguard road bike

    Geared ‘shoulder season’ mudguard road bike

    CX bike

    Gravel bike

    ‘good’ road bike which will shortly be retired to turbo duties and replaced with a gooderer road bike for summer duties only.

    And a 29er hardtail which also stands in as a CX bike and gravel bike as and when required 😂

    I should really sell at least three of them but given how little I’d get for them I just don’t see the point.

    Currently at 4 bikes, a bit of overlap in purpose which is good to have if (when) one (or more) is out of action but different enough to justify having them all:

    Geometron G15, 170/145, chunky build
    Nicolai Saturn 14, 140/130, lightish build for general trail use
    Norco Torrent AL HT, 150/0
    Titus Mutsu Ti, flat-bar gravel/commuter

    All 29er. All MTBs are from the same LLS school with 535, 515 and 510mm reach respectively with steep SAs and long WBs. Despite only 15mm difference in rear travel my Geometron and Nicolai ride very differently, but in a good way.

    Wheel sizes and purposes 24″ street trials , 26″ hybrid commuter, 27.5″ hardtail.

    I used to commute on the hardtail exclusively but since moving my commute is no fun whatsoever on the hardtail so 99% of my riding is on the hybrid and the trials bike.

    I wish I could rationalise three bikepacking/MTB/touring bikes down to one.

    Currently (discounting half-built projects/restorations) :

    27.5 x 2.65 alloy singlespeed monstercross with rigid steel forks, flared shallow drop-bars and hydraulic brakes

    29 x 2.2 steel 2×10 MTB with flat bar

    700 x 28c steel retro touring bike with flat bar and bar-ends

    One has to go. I can’t let the tourer go though. The other two are very similar potentially but also configured very differently in current guises.

    Common sense says a flat-bar gravel/adventure/XC bike will do most all that I need as of now.

    Something like a Whippet could tempt me.

    Thing is I use the tourer to do all the grocery shopping et cetera and the cargo trailer won’t accommodate 29×2.2 (nor 27.5 x 2.65)

    Mine are pretty similar frames, but the wheelsets make them ride differently.

    SolarisMax with 140 34mm fork and lighter weight wheels and a Kyote bar. Nice for epics, gravel and commuting (which is gravel)

    Switch9er for everything else. Fortus 30 wheels, 140 36mm fork. Feels much more planted yet flickable.

    Transition Spur is my main bike. It’s grey and gorgeous and awesome.

    Cotic Soul 26″ straight steerer in the One True Colour. Probably turn this into a rigid 650b flat bar gravel bike thingy otherwise it will just rot in the garage.

    Scott road bike of some kind. Lock down panic purchase that I haven’t really got my head round yet.

    Also use the OH’s brompton sometimes. So four, but they’re all different and I could add a bigger full susser for those times I want to jump mince down canyons. And a fat bike for the beach we’re moving near. And a newer geo hard tail for the winter slop. And maybe I’ll get more into road biking if I get a carbon one. And I really want/need an electric cargo bike.

    Privateer 141 and an Orange Crush29. both fairly slack mid travel 29ers. Full suss for the bigger rides out and hardtail for XC stuff/slop.

    Fat bike gets the least use, Kathmandu is used for commuting etc Shand for day trips and longer mostly on road

    Try to keep them at least a little distinct from each other…

    2020 RocketMAX – 27.5+/29+ mullet enduro FS – long, low, slack and heavy – VERY quick when it goes downhill.

    2012 Epic – 29er ST FS – short, steep, light – pretty quick everywhere until the proper gnar kicks in. Guess it’s a bit poundshop downcountry?

    2019 Transmitter – 27.5+ LT(140mm Pikes) HT – long, low and slack(ish) – proper all rounder.

    2012 BFe – 26er ST SS(100mm DS/jump forks) HT – short, steep and stiff – niche type 2 fun.

    Also got a bamboo road bike, a custom klunker cruiser and a kick bike…
