    Ooops!

Just noticed my front hub a Hope ProII 20mm has failed. It is built into a mavic 721 with strong spokes and put together by a LBS with lot’s of experience with downhill wheels. I have used the wheel extensively at Scottish downhill venues on my Cove Shocker but it is only 6 months old. Whilst I have been through the normal rear wheel or two in a downhill year I am very suprised at how it is the hub and not the rim that has failed. It seems to have just crumbled which is slightly worrying. Oh well hopefully Hopes usual standard of back up should sort it quickly.

I’m sure they will, phone them in the morning.

oh.. I can see the pics now… strange? 😕

I’ve had many hope hubs do that? mainly XCs/Ti glides, Hope have always replaced FOC (Bulbs seemed to last better for some reason – possibly thicker flanges?)
