Doesn’t appear to be info about it, or £, just a picture.  It does look rather lovely though.

Just found it on another browser.  £60 - ouch.  But, my, what a lovely looking thing! And I wouldn’t be able to stop there.  I’d just have to get a set of Tech 4’s to hang it off.

Spendy times afoot 🤣

That cable arrangement looks pretty crap to be fair, why does the inner have to be exposed for that length? Given the typical British riding conditions it just looks to me like it'll get full of crap very quickly, but hey at least its available in pretty anodized colours.

Not much different in that respect to the wolftooth which does not seem to suffer.

The adjustable reach and adjustable cable pull are nice touches. I'd be tempted if I didn't already have an orange wolftooth.

As an aside why do folks spend so many £££££ on dropper levers ? Can’t just be the nice colours/machining etc ? It’s a bit of aluminum that pulls a cable ffs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134183095490?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Frp8meSfRc2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=cEBL3Sx1TDi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Other cheap levers available

Because they're not all created equal.....

I had the Brand X one that came with my dropper which did the job, I replaced it with a ZTTO one which was smoother and better positioned. I now have the latest OneUp lever which is even more ergonomic and requires less thumb movement to operate. It's diminishing returns but there are improvements plus £60 isn't that much these days especially if it's British made.

TBH £60 didn't surprise me really, and I'm usually a "HOW MUCH?!?!?!" kind of person.

I might get one.

Looks nice, and has a twist from the others with the adjustable leverage, so basically adding a bit of a brake lever function to the dropper lever, which seems sensible as a lot of folk tend to complain about it being heavy or light to operate, this may give both?

Price wise, not exactly earth shattering in this day and age where a lot of niche companies are doing what hope do, and costing the same, or more.

I use the Wolftooth and the ZTTO, i like levers that are in this orientation, if i ever need another one in the future, the hope will be on the list by the looks of it.

I might get one because it'll look right on the Tech 4 lever. Then I can move the excellent OneUp lever onto the bike with the OneUp post and bump the stiff little unbranded crap one into the spares bin.

£60 is a small price to pay to achieve perfect brand-matched synergy across 2 bikes.

OneUp has almost as much exposure, but it's a bit more enclosed, only directly exposed vertically from the bottom.

I’d happily pay £5 more to get the same thing without branding on it. I really dislike my bike looking like a shopping list of bike brands

Assuming it's pulling the same amount of cable, and that much cable is always exposed, I don't think it matters. The extra cable that doesn't go into the outer will get mucky but that kick won't go into the outer.

I like the comment about "matches the aesthetics of the brakes". I mean, yes it does, but equally my bikeyoke and oneup remotes both match the aesthetics of my brakes, because both those levers are nice forged shapes and so are my brakes.

I reckon your better off spending money on  'contact points' - dropper leaver, top end shifter, brake levers & saddle, than pretty much any other part part of the bike.

Get a brand X dropper and a top end lever will give you a far better experience for less money than spending on a top end fox for example.

Top end shifter will provide a noticeable shifting upgrade, over a top end mech or cassette.

Comfortable brake levers and most importantly, saddle.

The bits that provide direct interaction with the bike make a huge difference.

Can you get an i-spec EV mount for this?

I like the look of it and £55-60 seems about right when compared to equivalents from other companies. For now I’ll stick with the Brand X one that came with my post as there are lots of other things I should upgrade before a dropper lever, but when I need a new one, I’ll certainly consider it

"Mounts directly to Hope master cylinder via a direct shifter mount", err what. That's clear as mud, so it doesn't directly fit a tech4 or does it, so if I buy silver & blue to match my lever do I add an extra cost mount that'll probably be only in black. Great.

From my understanding, it looks like it mounts to the Tech 4's via the SRAM matchmaker shifter mount, which is another £20.

I've ordered both, Slam69 have 10% off site wide. So total cost was £72 to be able to mount to the hope tech 4's.

Will report back when they arrive.

This is my understanding and what I've ordered for my T4's.

So it's basically £80 RRP unless you've kept a SRAM clamp of an old shifter or use SRAM brakes and already have a matchmaker set up. Strange choice, just one version and no silver option for the adapter like they do with the brake mounts. It's overpriced for sure but the colour options are very pleasing to the eye.

Just fitted a new one-up V3 to my fox transfer.  Feels lovely, but this looks a cool piece of kit.   Can’t understand why they don’t make a matchy matchy clamp upgrade for the Hope brakes for a super neat integrated finish. I’m sure folk would by them.

This highlights how good value the Shimano MT500 is at around £20.

Just fitted the Hope Lever to my Tech 4's.

You definitely do need the SRAM Matchmaker shifter mount, so not "direct mount" to hope brakes as some places have claimed. It would bug me having silver brakes and dropper with a black mount.

It's lurvly though, lots of adjustments to get the perfect fit for the thumb, and matches the brakes perfectly.

Yeah, they've definitely not thought it through by having the adapter only available in black, the black lever with exposed silver inner cable isn't the best look imho. Some purple ti bolts would really finish off the one above and maybe optislick or black PTFE inner 😀
