Does anyone have a vid on how to use the Hope 9270 spot facing tool ?

It is for a front 100mm fork with IS mount. I just want to knock off a bit of surface rust and get them both clean and parallel.

All the vids I can find currently are for the PM/IS tool, which is very different in its set up and use.

    This one

I have the instructions, but tbh they arent that clear and a vid would be so much better.

No vid, but I have this tool. You clamp the holed bracket (whatever it’s called) in place to suit both mounts. Then tighten the knurled knob onto the end of the facing tool and face one mount. Then loosen the knurled knob and slide it up to the holed bracket and retighten it. Then face the other mount and it will only go as far in as the other already faced one due to the knurled knob position. Job done.

Just make sure both IS mount holes are easily accessible for the cutter once you’ve tightened up the axle bolts and the bracket to the axle before you start to face the holes, as said above face one hole then undo and slide the knurled knob up against the bracket so it can’t cut any deeper and re tighten then move to the next hole, I gently hold the knurled knob against the bracket with finger n thumb and one finger on the end of the cutter while tightening the grub screw, after cutting the 2nd return to the 1st to double check they’re both even.
