oh balls!
so i was using partition magic to create a small partition on my C: drive to do a re-install of my operating system because it’s become a bit corrupted with recent failed installs
all well and good until the re-start when the boot process fails to find a system disc.
no worries, i’ll fire in a spare disc and load XP onto that. did this, opened up the other disc in explorer and…..it’s empty!!
100gig of music and a DVD and software library all gone. photos are backed up so no worries there
so – hopefully the data is still there and using a utility i’ll be able to re-instate it. anyone done this successfully before?? whats the best software to use? ideally free but paid for if need be….
