It's health and safety gone mad I tellya.

When I was a kid my hamster done well dangerous stuff..........he never came to any harm.

Besides, the little ****ers don't live very long anyway.

It's fine I've carried out a suitable and sufficient risk assessment and all they need is some PPE and training in how to use it.

I'm sorry but under the control of monocles at work act 1874 the chain attached the lens doesn't comply with section 2.4 as it is too long and presents a significant trip hazard to the hamster in question.
