We have a pretty good bedtime routine and never have trouble normally. Even when she can't sleep she stays in her bed trying for hours, and reads books to herself and stuff. She's a brilliant kid and I'm very proud of her, and I'll cut her slack when she needs it.

And I'll move her as soon as I get off STW, I was joking about the couch 🙂

Just off to bed, been out with some Swedish guys attending the sailing event I'm in. Who mentioned vodka? We had an evening the other night hosted by the Polish contingent of the same sailing event (world champs) who want to host it in 2014. Free vodka for all...... I was proper pissed that night and really didn't fancy racing the next morning!

God I ****ing hate my job! Just over six months ago I gave up an offshore job so I could take a shitty office job. So, instead of being out getting pissed with my mates I was in bed at 10 just so that I could get up at 6 so that I could come into this shithole.

And now, I'm supposed to be happy because it's ****ing Friday and it's soon going to be the weekend. Big ****ing deal! Two days off so you've got the choice between going out and getting pissed or staying sober and going biking or climbing. Six months ago I could go out biking as much as I wanted AND get pissed whenever I wanted.

So true. Then again, we've all done worse. And if it makes you feel any better (not sure that it can, a bottle of Baileys would leave me ill for days), at midnight I was doing exciting stuff like putting bins out, washing up, and being generally suburban, so that I could get up at 0500 and do the whole thing again.

Frankly, I'd rather have been drinking, and damn the hangover.
