They look like a Gatorskin kind of tyre, hard plastic, bit of puncture resistance, not much feel.

If that is correct, I’d change them without hesitation. Veloflex Master for speed and light weight, but a bit fragile. Vredestein Senso Xtreme for a bit more weight and strength but a still fast winter tyre.

I really liked my PX Rage K – bit of kevlar protection, supple, light, fast, 25mm black folders for a tenner.

Had them on my Defy. Seemed alright till one delaminated after a few hundred miles. Now on Michelin Pro Endurance, my long term favourites

Me too. Its my “winter/turbo” bike and I wore mine F&R to the level of the wear indicators without issue, replacing them with Lithion 2’s.

I thought they were good tyres till I upgraded them to schwalbe one’s
The one’s felt much faster and had plenty more grip.
There ok to get you started and if your happy with them then there’s no point in changing yet.

Back on the road bike?

The GP4000 will be much nicer.

Schwalbe ones are about the nicest feeling tyres I’ve tried but I’m not convinced that they’ll hold up through the winter so well so I’ve swapped to Vittoria Pave 25’s which are still available here and there.

My pslr 1’s are really good, grippy and smooth

Think it might be the Vittoria’s for a change although I’ve got enough tubes as my two new latex tubes arrived today so wiggles deal looks OK. Cheers 😀

The top end PSLR-1s are very good, the others less so. Tyres are the single most cost effective upgrade to a road bike and R&D costs money. Giant don’t make tyres ;-). Schwalbe Ones are a favourite of mine, but I also like Vittoria Open Paves in 25 or 27c for damp winter roads. I’ll be racing the 25c’s again next week.

Be VERY careful fitting those latex tubes to whatever you buy. Blow some air into them before you mount the tyre and check there is no inner showing when you put the tyre on. Then check again. Then partially inflate the tube and check again. Then deflate and check both beads again. Then inflate one last time. Latex are so flexible they can squeeze under the bead, and with road bike pressures, will let go and BANG! If you are lucky, this happens down the road, if not it will deafen you in the dining room. So i’ve heard 😉
