I'm looking for one that's designed to be mounted to the left of the stem...does such a thing exist?

If it's not bum-rapingly expensive, that's a bonus...£27? Makes my eyes water just thinking about it 😯

Just bought one of these but fitted it the other way round so that it floats centrally over the stem. Lock in seems sturdier than the Garmin mount too. £13.5 !

Not my bike BTW...

To clarify, the picture I posted is of a Bar Fly but I bought the Sram model and fitted it backwards as the Bar Fly. The Bar Fly is £20.

boardin bob

your garmin would be in the middle of your stem then -and if above the stem it would be facing the arse of the rider in front of you

If that's what you want, why not just use the standard mounts on the stem?

which is fine unless your on a 29er that doesnt fit you and the stem angles downwards - or you have "slammed that stem" so that your road bike doesnt fit you :d

no chance of them working on short stems

I've been waiting for those sram ones to be in stock. I have the garmin one for the roadie, its great but for the mountain bike I want it over the stem for a bit of crash protection. Also for me I tend to wrap my light battery under the stem which can't be done with the garmin lacy band mount.

I got a Sram one from a seller in China I think it was. £13 and it turned up within a week.

There's no point in me reversing a mount and putting it over the stem, as pdw pointed out, that's where it is now with the standard mount.

I want it in front of the stem and lowered...like this but mounted on the left of the stem.

Cheers tt, raceware are also mentioned in this road cc article...however, their mounts are over £30 with postage and on that basis, I'm oot!

Meh, I only want a left mount because my light is mounted on the right (for cycling on the left) and of course it's not really going to matter a jot if I move my light 4" to the left...but Goddamnit, it just seems wrong to do so!

First. World. Problem.

😛

Sounds more like an OCD problem, I thought I was bad. 😯

Just use that one, but attach it to the bars to the left of the stem?

i think the law says your light needs to be outside the centre line of the bike.

I doubt the police even know this (why the f-- do i?)

"i think the law says your light needs to be outside the centre line of the bike."

someone really should tell the motorcycle manufacturers that.
