    just bought this frame from egay for £10

    he said its a 1999/2000 frmae, but i cant seem to find any info..
    ive looked on bikepedia and the vintage trek site..but cant seem to figure out the year.

    also…

    how do you find out what BB will fit it?
    im guessing its a square tapered one but not sure

    It’ll be a 68mm BB shell – doesn’t need to be square taper, HTII will also fit for instance.

    If its the one I’m thinking of, it came with yellow Judys (not those yellow Judys – the later hydracoil ones). So probably will be ~2000.

    Cranks were, I think, Trek’s own Icon ones. Doesn’t matter what BB you shove in it – could be a new HT2, ISIS, taper etc but if you’re putting an ISIS or taper BB in it then just make sure the axle is long enough and the shell is the right size.

    1999/2000 from my memory of selling the things back then…not bad (if quite generic) frames at all at the time, very similar to the ones higher up the range but with slightly cheaper tubing, and very good for a tenner!
