A primary school tuc shop favourite was a meat Samosa sandwiched in a ring doughnut. Good lord, we’d run like mad to get them before they ran out!

My best mate Stevo is a real freak. Aside from being ginger and lacking the coordination to ride a moped in a straight line, he eats very odd combos.

Wagon wheel sandwich and cheese on toast with smarties on top being two favourites in our late teens. He also has copious amounts of ketchup on most things he eats.

Chicken kebab (chip shop variety in pitta with salad and chili sauce/lemon juice) with a pot of chip shop mushy peas poured over it. My new, favourite recovery meal.

Ooh yeah, and peanut butter and tomato on toast. Makes more sense to me than peanut butter and jam.

Speaking of which, ham and marmalade sandwiches, or ham and apricot jam.

Quality dark chocolate (72%) and a whipped blue cheese filling (i’m a chocolatier) – sounds absolutely foul but makes you do the little arse wiggle of joy when you taste it.

You have to add some strawberry jam on top of the butter unless you want to feel like this:

Under no circumstances should anyone try making a sandwich with digestive biscuits, cheese and strawberry jam. I still wretch at the thought of that one.

Growing up, we would make toast, then spread on a layer of peanut butter, add a slice of pineapple, and top it off with a Kraft Cheese Single, before putting it in the oven for a few minutes in order to melt the ‘cheese’.

    Delicious. 🙂

Now, without the salt and vinegar crisps, the ‘strong cheddar cheese and screen’ is brilliant, even better with stilton.

for my offering – Apple, served sliced to be dipped in matching sized blobs of salad cream and encona west indian hot pepper sauce 😳

Nachos, haggis and peppercorn sauce. Had this in a place in Fort William just out of curiosity. It’s insanely good!
