When you submit an offer on an item on eBay and the seller just declines it without a counter offer.. what?  Why not just respond with a suitable counter offer..

Fwiw I was putting some tat on eBay earlier and it came up with “or offers”. Then in the box it says “we will automatically reject offers below £x” so it might just be an automated response?
