GF has just come back from Cuba with two boxes of Cohiba Esplendidos cigars.

Neither of us smoke. 90% sure they are legit as they come from a friend.

What would you do with them? Bear in mind they seem to be £700 a box.

I'd post them out to everyone that replies to this thread. Honest. 😉

Try them and see what you think? Get generous at xmas and birthdays, or hope a lot of friends become fathers?

We were swamped with people trying to sell us "legit" cigars last time we went to Cuba, nearly everyone we bumped into wanted to flog us them 😉

From what we saw out there, it was very hard to tell fake from the real tbh

I don't really smoke, but I'll have a cigar if there's one going. So I'd smoke them. But not too close to bed-time as it'll send you as high as a kit if you're not used to it. 😀

If they were bought at the official stores they will be kosher if they were bought on the street they are unlikely to be but the price paid still makes them a cheap and better smoke compared to what you pay in the UK for a panama. They last for years if you keep them properly either a humidor or you could fashion a moist enviroment out of something else.

Oh and an Esplendido is a good two hour smoke and they are pretty strong.

Me too, not a smoker, but we did visit the Cohiba factory, the smell there was amazing.

We bought some fake off, the street Romeo y Julieta Churchills as well as some genuine ones for friends at home who smoke. Just to see if they could tell the difference & tbh they could not.

Spark one up, the smell is amazing, even if you don't smoke it 😉

Well if they turn out to be fakes they will be chucked in the bin. The GF did know the guy, and he is a cigar dealer by trade. But looking at the prices on the web, she certainly didnt pay anywhere near enough for them if they were the real mcCoy.

Want to go home now and find out!

Lets for instance say someone had some real ones, how would someone go about selling them? (not me of course as that would be illegal)

If they are fake ads-b, I will take them off your hands, my smoking friends will still smoke them 😉

Don't chuck fakes as they are still a good smoke, they just burn hot earlier . Still way way better than your typical pub cigar.

If they are real you need to get them stored properly asap or soon they will not be worth anything.
Worth buying a cheap humidor if you find out they are real.

If you can authenticate them, try selling them to a cigar speciaist. Or even better, take them to a cigar specialist and see what they say.
