I did last night. Had a d lock on the frame locking to a metal post and a cable locking the rest of bike. The cut the cable an then rather than tackle the d lock they simply cut through the carbon seat stays. Second bike theft this year and I've been burgled twice too. Happy days!

That's awful! Genuinely sorry to hear ๐Ÿ™

Where abouts are you? Has Plod been any help?

๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Seems a bit self-defeating. But then does add some credence to the suggestion that high end bikes are being nicked for parts, and they're not fussed about the frame, as that the only traceable bit

I feel your pain brother ๐Ÿ™

no but i read recently that the best bet is to go round tyre and rear triangle - bloody difficult to cut through a tyre (well not with tools that'll cut a bike tube).

bloke on here was saying they dismantled the rear suspension on his bike to get a lock off.

As above (and hindsight easy) but always go around a tyre and rim with the lock as well as the frame.

Nothing from the police yet. But to be honest it's London and bike theft is pretty low on their priorities in my experience

Yu never know though. In the meantime if anyone offers you a Colnago Arte with a taped up rear triangle just say no!
