Hopefully I won’t get flamed for having the audacity to ask an e bike question on here but I didn’t get a response from the emtb forum.

So I have a weird issue that I wonder if anyone else has had. I had my motor replaced by Shimano and the walking mode just isn’t right as its ‘juddery’ I guess would be the best description, even when lifted off the ground the motor doesn’t apply constant smooth power but rather a jerky rotation of the motor.
The old motor wasn’t anything like this so I know that there is something wrong with it but I’m wondering if it’s due to a software glitch or a mechanical problem
Anyone else had this issue? Did you manage to get it fixed without it having to go off to Madison again?

Might be silly question, after it’s come back from repairs, but is the firmware all upto date on your kit?
I’d say your sending it back, if no one on emtb forums has answered you, though you are posting on a quiet sunday morning….
TBH I found the shimano walk mode to be complete useless, but they ‘could’ have fixed that with an update since I replaced my vitus.

Check with the LBS who did the warranty work for you, it sounds like a software update is needed.
