Well one of my trusty Hope C2s has finally bitten the dust, after 9 years of faultless service.

As I've been happy with them I haven't kept up with the latest news on brakes.

What would people recommend for me - I ride an SC chameleon with Rebas and generally built-to-last kit, mainly do days in the hills rather than full on alpine descents.

Have to say I'd love to get some more hopes but don't know the differences between the various types you can get now.

Are there any other brakes that I should be considering?

Oh, I'll only be buying one brake - he rear C2 is doing the business well at the moment.
