Sometimes you just can’t help it ! Feel like a big Jess !

On way back to London after spending 3 days with my ill/unwell brother and his children. He’s been unwell for a while no sign of recovery as yet…

    And tomorrow rolls on…

I’d cry if I was travelling to London on a Friday evening.

    Oh. “ill” or “lil” ?

    Oh. “ill” or “lil” ?

This needs to be clarified. As it will affect what follows.

Shit happens and we are only human. My class have seen me welling up on more than one occasion when dealing with emotional subjects.
Nothing wrong with having emotions and acting on them or being affected by them.

Crying? Nothing wrong with it at all! I was giving my children a bath the other day and I just broke down in floods of tears. A mix of happiness at how awesome they are, and an apprehension of wanting to be able to provide for them in the future. I love them so much, and I cried. No shame in that, no reason to worry.

It’s only odd if you DON’T cry.

In that case, no issues at all with crying on the train.

Probably more preferable than all the other bodily fluids getting leaked over public transport on a Friday night.

I cried when I dropped my daughter off at Uni.
I cried when the charity guy did his pitch to our company charity foundation (which I’m a member of)

    Man up and well up!

Hope your brother does show signs of improvement soon

I choked up saying my farewells to a chap I’ve had to make redundant.
He’s going to a better job, bigger salary etc but all the same gutted to have to let him go.
    Worked together for 14yrs.
We both choked up, & immediately started talking about work to snap out of it. 🙂

    Blokes eh.

Op, positive vibes to your bro & his family. 😉

Done it many years in the past when doing the commute and life was not going smoothly (and possibly post alcohol). The tough bits don’t stop just because you are sitting on a train. Sometimes the people I share a carriage with make me want to cry…

Unfitgeezer. I would be crying too in your situation. Look after yourself.

There is nothing wrong with crying, it is a raw emotion that needs to happen before the other emotions and process of dealing with a traumatic event or difficult situations can take place. Think of it like this, if you don’t cry it out then the next powerful emotion to force its way out is anger, and we all know that this always lead to others around you getting hurt.

A BIG WELL DONE FOR BEING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR SELF. 😀

A BIG WELL DONE FOR BEING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR SELF.

crying whilst touching yourself on a train = arrested / thrown off said train.

EDIT: I well up rather easily, especially when my two kids are involved. Wife thinks it’s hilarious and I’m a big softie.
