    Just seen this, loved visiting here with the kids. Feel sorry for all the volunteers who helped reconstruct the place.

    Police ruled out suspicious activity which I suppose leads to more speculation…
    Always wondered why the open fire wasn’t more contained. Embers left to burn between tours. Surely not great given the fabric of the building.

    It’s a great place, terrible news that it’s burnt down. We’ve been there loads. I hope they can get funding to get it back up and running again.

    I remember being shown how to light a 🔥 with nae swan vestas or bluebells a few years ago. The restaurant/bar had a big fire a few years ago too but if it’s dry and windy and the fire brigade are probably retained part time
