I started reading that. Before my head started to spin I read about braking being required on two or more front wheels, and two or more rear wheels. I recall a picture of a bike referred to as a ‘hen and chickens’, with five wheels. Does anyone know of more?

There have been some amendments to that, for electric bikes, see the
Pedal Cycles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2015/474.
