    That already exists though, AXS can talk across groupsets so an Eagle mech and cassette will work with road bifters.

    You missed the bit about £500

    I was ready to not like it and say it’s all bin dun before, then a new cassette “standard” too, but by the end I actually thought it was pretty neat.
