Hi , myself and a couple of mates are planning a ride on the Long Mynd tomorrow and would welcome any info on conditions of the trails given the recent weather . We’ve got a 3 hour plus journey to get there and don’t want it to be wasted . Any info be great .

Fine on top, Minton Batch will be a mess for the first 200 yards and wet all the way down, plenty of other options (although the best ones should be saved for ‘off-peak’ visits iykwim).

3 hours is a long way to drive, is that each way?

Thanks for replies guys , need to check with my mates and see what they want to do .
In answer to your question Nick , yes it is 3 hours each way . I’m travelling from Lincolnshire and one of us is coming up from Southhampton so its a matter of finding somewhere interesting to ride thats similar journey time for us both if you get me . Its been planned for a while now and its an area we’ve ridden in before and really enjoyed it .

Hey, cool, hope you’ve had a cracking day out, as you say it’s a great place to ride.
