  • Cheapest way to powermeter?

So over the past few years my riding has been 70% road and 30% mtb, I’m no pro but i do like measuring and comparing stats (using strava at the minute). I’ve got an 810 in the post, and would like to experiment with a powermeter.

Whats the best way to do it without spending £1000 on a shimano/stages powermeter? fyi I using Sram if that matters, and i’ll not be changing to shimano.

Powerpod or powercal will be cheapest and most swappable.

Power2max off ebay? Obviously you’re buying a chainset as well as a power meter but that means either you’re upgrading you current chainset (something which I think is a very worthwhile thing to do) or you can sell your old chainset to recoup some cash.

Or one of the more recent Quarqs should be a pretty safe bet too. You dont hear about people having too many problems with them.
