Can anyone recommend some cheap waterproof offroad trousers. do not need to be cycling specific. thinking 30 pounds mark or cheaper. need to be tough. no leggings.

+1 said it many times before – you should be able to get mtp goretex ones with a full length zip for £20-30. Excellent quality….

I bought a matching lightweight jacket as well…but the urge to dig holes in the woods becomes almost overwhelming sometimes! 😀

Aldi do them every now and then, about £15 I think, and have velcro in the calves to slim then down away from the chain.
