    as in Home Information Packs, not a replacement body part.

    Anyone done it? Recommend any sites?

    We did. Just went with the cheapest. Can't remember the name. Seemed as good as any we saw from other properties.

    Just done it, used hipmanager.com, who search all/most local providers and find the cheapest one. Very happy, all done online/via email, except when the poor old Energy Assessor has to visit. Completed in about 10 days.

    FWIW, an estate agent friend reckons no-one buying is remotely interested in the HIP, so you might as well get the cheapest you can, as long as it doesn't take forever and delay your sale.

    thanks fadda, yeah i'd already been told by the agent that in the 2yrs they've been in he's had 3 people ask to see them.

    Apparently its all a big scam for the government to collect data on house values for council tax valuations?
