Looked to me like he straightened his legs and started going down before the contact. Didn’t see a good angle so could be wrong. There was inevitably going to be contact so could have got a pen but the way he went down was simulation.

There is a possibility but then they are a one man team with Messi so if the Germans can prevent him from getting the ball then 50% of their work is done, because the rest of the Argentinians are just good players but nothing spectacular. 😀

I’m not a massive fan, and he does seem to have become a pastiche of himself in the last year or so.

…but given what is taking over, Shearer/Neville/Savage, then it may be a case of not knowing what you have got till it’s gone.
