Very swift blast up Bredon hill to clear the cobwebs.
Not too far but good to turn pedals.

No photos, but went out with 5 others in mud, I ended up two punctures, no working back brake, dodgy front mech. Rather than hold them up, trying to repair the second puncture, I bailed out, asked the wife to pick me up, who did with a sausage roll to eat.
Also no photos, but a 23 mile spin out in the north Lakes with my 72 year old Dad, to get him within 12km of his 2000km target for the year. He'll get the last bit in on the turbo trainer if he can't get out on the road for the last bit.
You chaps that ride Bredon Hill care to show me around? I live In Bredon and have a little loop from westmancote up and around but would love some more routes. Used to ride up the yellow brick road in Beckford when I was a lad. I spend most of my time riding FOD but would love some more local stuff
russyh - I'm in Evesham and happy to meet up for a ride .
Both Karen and I have had this cold/flu thing leading up to Christmas but I thought that I’d at least be able to manage a bit of a ride yesterday.
So, I took the single speed, with the idea of just manning up and atfacking every climb. And attack I did, just like your Granny’s toothless, geriatric poodle called “Frenchie” would attack - in other words, like shit.
I even had to resort to pushing up a couple of sections that normally I don’t even think about and the whole thing left me wondering why the **** I bother.
The only saving grace was a clean ride of the last descent of the day, but other than that........
No photos, but yesterday was a proper gloop fest after 24 hours of rain.
Todays ride (starting after this coffee is gone) will be a frozen gloop fest as temps have dropped like a seat post overnight. The air temp is cold as well, so no doubt I will be wheezing like a set of bagpipes till I warm up.
