What about that Seven TT bike, or the FS from that thread the other day, both truly hideous.

A lot of folk think my Fuel's ugly, I'm not a huge fan aesthetically:

mind you I've owned some ugly bikes,

Felt virtue - top bike, fast as **** but ugly
Sinister splinter- Built like a brick outhouse definately not pretty
swoopy framed mount vision in pearly white- fab trail bike, looks like a hunched back munter
lots of on-ones - agicultural welding of gas pipes but I love them

I seem to choose bikes that suit me ๐Ÿ˜€

The point about all the strange fork and stay designs that you see on lots of modern Italian carbon road frames is the designers clearly have no idea what they're doing, or what they're trying to achieve,
OK, you can commend them for trying to be different, but thats about it.

And to add to the above, With most ugly MTBs, their 'differently comelyness' is a function of things like shock placement, pivots and such.
With road bikes THERE IS NO EXCUSE, OK? ๐Ÿ™‚

Who remembers Kirk Precision? Though I never owned one, I found their ugliness strangely endearing.

Clubber's Klein Mantra is the winner, not only for being a minger, but being a singlespeed full susser with a rigid fork. That proper inovation, that! Well done, Dylan! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The ugliest one I ever built . . .

Strangely it rode quite nicely - very 'sit down, shut up, hold on', but I just couldn't get my head around those looks ๐Ÿ˜

Surprised no one has mentioned Thorn here yet. I like them, but they look functional, especially with a rack....

Also surprised no one has mentioned any full sus Marin (that I've seen). Horrible looking bikes, that swing-arm is disgusting.

And this perhaps?

Or does it look good? I cant decide.

Realman - what the 'kin hell is that?!?

Another vote for the Kirk here at the hands-down winner - although when it came out I did (being young and impressionable) drool over the photos of it in MBUK.

(To Please The Swede) My Old Maverick...
[img] [/img]

My Current Maverick...
[img] [/img]

My Giant...
[img] [/img]

My Gary Fisher Rig (perhaps not quite so ugly, but it's Purple FFS!)...
[img] [/img]

And perhaps my only good looking bike, my Genesis Altitude... Though many would argue that the Maverick fork makes it ugly by default!
[img] [/img]

Just to add to the sin, I've owned some other UGLY bikes in the past too... Anybody remember Orange's first attempt at Full Suspension, the X1? Yup I had one of them! Remember the Bright Blue/Red/Yellow 97 ProFlex Animal with Red Girvin Chubby forks? Yup I had one of them too! In fact I've had a few pretty gopping bikes, but for the most part they've ridden very well despite their looks...
