The bendy nature of the finished article upsets me.

Reminds me of first forays into bedsit land as a youth - we tried to cook rashers on one of these:

Didn't end well, impromptu foil-fashioned drip-tray notwithstanding :-/

That's where the line we went past is.

I have an admission to make. Recently, if in a hurry, I've been wrapping Bacon ( home cured streaky from local butcher) in a sheet of kitchen paper and microwaving it for 30 seconds.
It's very good.

Wow. £50 to cook bacon really badly and in twice the time it normally takes.

Bargain 🙂

This

If it did the eggs as well I'd sell my liver to get my hands on it. I'd have it on my bedside table. And take it into the bath on an extension lead.

Could get a tefal toast'n'egg to go with it but otherwise seems a bit pointless...
