Quick wickets tomorrow and i'll favour England. However, only takes a quick 50 from someone and they are chasing 300 plus.

Given recent history of England and the WACCA pitch 4th innings i'd still give England a good chance of chasing down 350.

Ah, psychle is back

PMSL 😆 I thought it was just England who had glory supporters....

Unfortunately, didn't they get 527dec doublequick, then spank us last time round?

But we'll only need to bat about 4 sessions to win. Seems pretty unlikely right now, but at least with this England team it seems possible.

well that was a smart bat change! Must've swapped for his catching practice model 😉 Reckon that bat is not going to be used again!

5 down for 81 runs its all over and Aussies will go on and win the ashes now 😈 we should have picked a extra batsman for this ground.plus colinwood is out of form and petersen has played his one good knock of the series .

Erm...

we should have picked a extra batsman for this ground.

How? We only had 4 bowlers. Are you suggesting we would have had a better result with 3?

plus colinwood is out of form

True, but he has got a wicket, and TBF, that catch is one of those that may have been able shift a match.

petersen has played his one good knock of the series .

Also true, but I don't think we should be talking about changing the team, KP just needs to leave things alone...

In fact, the biggest problem is Bell langishing down at 6 (and now 7 thanks to the pointless night watchman role) running out of partners...

As a long time England fan I feel like I'm back in my comfort zone.

We'll still retain the ashes, just not tomorrow.

I wonder if our players forget that a test lasts 5 days sometimes, so many balls they go after they really shouldn't. can't blame trott but Pietersen, Strauss and colly have all been to the WACA enough times to know what to not bother with

having said that, much respect to Mitchell Johnson, some fantastic bowling that reallly turned the game in Aus' favour

That'll do lads, that'll do, 1-1 it is 😀 . Hope someone has been on the blower to Melbourne asking for another greentop 😈 Good to have the Boxing Day Test set up to be a corker, love that first day at the MCG, one of the great sporting occasions 😀 .

Given the recent weather in the South-east, I very much doubt anything resembling Adelaide, never mind the WACA is possible...

i'm honestly glad that australia won.

the series/ashes are still up for grabs - imagine how boring the next 2 tests would have been if England won this test...

and i get bored by one-sided sporting contests, i'd love to see England win the series/ashes in a closely matched competition between 2 teams both capable of winning.

and that's what we've got.

Well done Australia!

(and thankyou)

This is what makes cricket such a fascinating game for me. It's a team game, contested by individuals. As a team England have performed far better but Hussey, Haddin and to some extent Watson aside, the Australians individually have produced the goods when they were needed (and of course Johnson with the ball this time round)

But that's what give me hope. I don't think England's bowlers have turned in one of those performances yet. We've bowled great as a team but on one day in the next two tests, someone will suddenly hit a purple patch, take a michelle in a single spell and the momentum flips around again.

I'm interested Psychle to see what happens in the press over there, can you summarise tomorrow please. Does this make it all OK again, or do they still feel it's time for a change - which may be forced anyway (he's bust a pinkie according to reports)
