When we flew to Geneva with Easyjet 2 years ago, despite paying the additional fee to carry a bike, some of our party got charged excess baggage, i.e. above 20kg and some of us didn't.

However, it seemed to be a bit of a lottery depending on who checked you in and how they interpreted the rules.

The Easyjet terms and conditions at the time stated that paying the supplement increased your allowance to 32kg. And they still appear to say the same thing.

So are they still charging excess up to 32kg or only above 32kg as their rules state they should?

We flew with them 3 weeks ago, the terms and conditions now clearly say that your bike is excluded from the weight limit. Print the conidtions and highlight the relevant bit, then wave in front of them.

    Thanks.

Tried that last time, but Customer Services were very unhelpful.

However, does look like the wording has subtedly changed from 2 years ago and is less ambiguous.
