As above, just put some bargain raceface next carbon bars on my 29er.

Are they too small for trail riding?

I think the bars on xc bike are 560mm, not the nicest for big descents but perfect for weaving through trees. 760s on the big bike though

I would say yes!Especially for someone with broad shoulders.... But it depends on how they feel for you and what kind of riding you do, just have to give them a go.

I did some well rocky mountain descents on my new bike with 600mm bars but with bar ends and foam grips that came loose and slid in to the brake leavers so prob less than 560mm. Survived that ok and now my 660mm bars on old bike seem silly wide.

I used to ride on bars so narrow, they were measured in inches!
Answer hyperlite. However, at 23", they were considered wide and people would cut them down.

bargain raceface next carbon bars

Except they're not a bargain at all, because they're too narrow, aren't they?

I put some 540s on my '97 Zaskar when I built it last year, they were way to narrow for me. I like my bars wide these days it just feels better.

Yes, next sl or any next flat bars are top narrow imo (for me). Next xc low rise in 685? Was the narrowest i'd go but now i'm running 740mm flat bars cut to about 700. its wide but gives good control and good chest expansion for better breathing... again imo. I'm definitely faster (more confident) on wider bars.
If you like them fine, but once you go wide, you won't go back
777 on my dh bike, staff running 800, but that's a whole different application
