Triple clamps are a pain on a trail bike but the forks are ok when they work right.
Personaly I prefer the later enduros but the sl works pretty well.

Bear in mind it's 8 years old. No matter how good it was in 2007, some bits might be worn out, spares might be scarce, and technology has moved on quite a lot since then. Might be a bargain, or might be junk!

I wouldn't bother you may make a bit of money out of it, but it'll be a massive ball ache and you may end up with a pile of 8 year old bits you don't want.

Still loving mine 8 years down the line. I've continuously evolved the kit including shock and forks so it's kept it as high-performing as possible.

The forks were problematic and some of my customers ended up with RS Lyrics courtesy of SBC UK excellent customer service after having repeated claims on the fork. Spare parts may/will be an issue these years later..

I've still got mine and as most have just upgraded all the components. Most important upgrades being fork and shock. Mine now runs 2014 lyrik rc2dh and just fitted a ccdb inline for more adjustability. Built for normal trails at 30lbs

I hope I don't upset the current owners about, but I test rode the 'Enduro SL' as they were calling it then back in 2007 when they were new, I was riding a 2006 Enduro at the time and was thinking of getting the new one.

I took it for a short loop of Penhydd and couldn't wait to give it back, the Spesh fork (I think mavrick actually made them) was utter balls, it didn't matter what you did with it, it just dived through its travel at the slightest provocation - the bike climbed brilliantly, far better than my '06, but my opinion they sold a lot of Enduros to people who wanted the most hardcore XC bike they could find (6" bikes were rare back then) who complained they were pretty poor XC bikes so they made it much lighter and more pedal friendly, but IMHO the contemporary Stumpjumper descended just as well or even slightly better as they were still using Fox forks then and climbed better still.

I'd bet they're a lot better on better forks, but, and this is only my opinion, it was the least Enduro, Enduro they ever made.

The forks could be divey, but they could be improved somewhat with tuning. They were very stiff and impressively light but performance could have been better out of the box.

That has been my experience - technical climbing performance in particular is excellent.

Very true. Mine was truly transformed by adding Bos Devilles and a Bos VipR rear shock.

Having now ridden all Enduro models, I would say it was on par with the original and Mk2 Enduro in terms of enduro'ness compared to its competitors but not as outwardly aggressive as the preceding and successive models.

It's still a very good capable bike. The early E150 forks had issues but these were all sorted under warrenty, very good fork, you can still get all spares for these from Specialized UK, they still service them, you can even buy a brand new complete set of S-works E150 forks if you want, not sure used E150 forks fetch much as people are wary of them due to early issues. Just ride it and have some fun.

I had one of the 2007 models and can echo the comments above. When it worked it was superb; climbed like nothing else too. But the forks were dismal and spent more time in the workshop than anywhere else. Swapped it for a Stunpy FSR which although reliable wasn't as nice a bike in my opinion.

doubt you'll make money on it stripping it. 2007 wheels and drivetrain will be worth buttons, forks wont be popular....unless the finishing kit has been upgraded it'll not be very desirable either

That's what I thought to be honest, I know it's got s works bars etc, didn't want to make fortunes on it, would have been happy with a little profit but as you guys say it's old plus forks arn't that good pity really as I think it was about £4500 new I bet

There's a couple of aluminium S-Works Enduro frames on ebay, neither of them look particularly recent, maybe 2010 at oldest, but I'm sure someone here knows better than me on that. And they are priced at £250 and £325 + £20 postage. Carbon frame has to be worth more surely?

I have done. An aluminium enduro S-works frame only that is older by the looks of it (2004 I think) sold for £251 at the end of July.

Another aluminium (2004) frame with some fox 32 single crowns sold for £350 just a day or two earlier.

A 2010 sold for £740 with specialised shock/forks. And only has slx/lx/xo on it. No XT like I'm pretty sure the bike the OP is on about has.

An 08/09 sold for £828 towards end of july.

So, I think the price is pretty good really, considering.
