Actually, the Metallica is quite interesting, especially the melodic bit. It's very recognisably Master of Puppets riffs but intriguingly different. It would be a fun musical project to actually transpose the music and play backwards forwards. I reckon Kirk Hammet would have problems playing his shred solos backwards - all those hammer-ons would become pull-offs and vice-versa.
