Mine's in Edinburgh A&E after an unexpected encounter of the facial kind with a particularly jaggy part of Glentress. Entertain me...

Ouch!

Child sitting duties and no beer because:

a) I'm picking the Mrs up from the station at 9.45
b) I'm in work at 6 am

Kids want to do a night ride. On Friday night!?! I'm knackered and want to go to bed after a glass or 2 of wine. Can't discourage this sort of behaviour though, so better get on with it.

Sat in garden, supping a Friday beer, with an assortment of birds flying about snaffling fat balls and the like, literally a couple of feet away from me, as if I'm one of them!

Love it 🙂

Oh and get well soon.

Marbella. Apparently some folk don't even bat an eyelid at paying €600 for a bottle of £35 vodka. It's the most ludicrously expensive place I've ever been, so I'm sat drinking €4 pints waiting for the football to start instead.

If you're not at home it's lunch and dinner. If you're at home it's dinner and tea. That's what my grandad told me.

It's Saturday morning now. 10am!

Friday night was getting home from work, sausage egg chips and beans for dinner. 2 hours of peace. Then my wife phoned, she'd been at a party for some mates who are being posted back to Canada (in the navy, like, no in an envelope) and it was Canada day too. Settled the wife and the kids, had a couple of whiskeys then bed. Now I'm about to go out on the bike for a couple of hours.

Just like my Saturday morning now and every evening for the last 30, at home nursing my broken collarbone and fighting cabin fever.
Mountain biking, keeps you fit they say.
