I think I might have spotted a line down there, might need a little more than 5" travel though...

Recognise the area from a motorbike trip me and a mate made to the North Cape last year, it is the Trollsteigen road near Ardalsnes. The Troll Wall nearby is the highest cliff in Europe, truly spectacular. We were the first vehicles up the road in 2008 after it had been cleared of snow, made the Norwegian press! The road itself makes you giddy but throwing yourself off the top and buzzing the traffic on the way down is for nutters only.

Seen that before- to me, it doesnt look real to be honest. They would make mistakes learning those moves. Dangerous doesnt come close to describing it and how do they deal with the windflow around and over the rocks? Surely the thermals would just be too hard to judge etc?

One thing struck me, why do they wear crash helmets?

120mph, they drop about 25m for every 100 across I think, effectively a fast moving stone - fairly agile and they arent getting THAT close to the road in that vid, but yes they would get screwed up by air flow etc. Thermals make no odds, they're plumeting, not gliding 🙂 See the bridge video I posted for proof that they do get it wrong when the wind blows a bit odd.

Certainly made me sit back in shock. It was the sound of him hitting the bridge that got me.
