Hmm, bit ambitious for such a small team to want to build a new HQ from scratch. I've previously been a member of their western counterparts in Oldham MRT (and also Swaledale MRT during a brief sojourn in Catterick), who answer about 3-4 times as many call outs. Their HQ is in an old barn attached to a local pub - pre-existing building that fit the requirements, with a minimum of expenditure to get it up to scratch, and was effectively gifted to the team by the brewery/landlords as part of recognising that the team was an integral part of the local community. Perhaps Holme Valley should look at a similar solution - they are, after all, volunteers from the local communities of the Valley. Big Society and all that...
