[Closed] Yet another car audio question

I'm after getting a DAB head unit for my MX5. I'm pretty sure I know what I need to do about aerials and such (I plan on using a splitter) and I've got my eye on a couple of models that do what I want - eg DAB, Bluetooth and USB.

Some of them are advertised as iPod/Phone compatible; some also say Android. What does this actually mean? Will I be able to plug in / pair my phone and control it via the stereo? And (this is the important bit) will the control work with Spotify? 'Cos that's pretty much what I use for music on the go.
