My son’s Xbox one will not boot up- it goes straight to troubleshoot page, with the options continue (which does nothing), reset Xbox to factory defaults, or turn off Xbox.
It first did this a week ago, so we reset it and all has been well- however when we try to reset to factory defaults it just turns straight off and goes back to troubleshoot menu.
Has anyone heard of this issue/know if fixable or is this the excuse I need to get an Xbox one X?
Try a 'hard reset - long press power button on the console for about 10 seconds- until it turns off console - secondly try unplugging from wall - Then reboot. .Also you could try deleteting profile and then download it again and then sign in . .
Yeah, I'd whip the power out for starters.
As random as it might sound, try a different HDMI cable.
Do you get any error codes?
Yeah, I’d whip the power out for starters.
...and leave it out for a couple of minutes to allow any charge in the capacitors to subside.
I also read somewhere that pressing the power button when it was unplugged discharged any residual charge in the box.
