I wasn't on-line before so all profile data on old drive
Anyone know how I can transfer data across?

I'm in the same situation, only haven't got my new console just yet.
Only option I'm aware of if your old console is borked is by using the [url= http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Live/Transfer ]transfer cable[/url] but I don't fancy paying out for one just to use it once.
Might be worth trying to pick one up cheap off Ebay...
Give Xbox a call. When I had the RROD they emailed me a form to fill in so I could get one FOC. They also collected mine to be repaired even though the warrenty period had expired.
The xbox was completely knackered so they sent me a new one. All took about a week to get my new one. 🙂
I have one, think it cost £15, did not want to spend it. Can sell it if you want it? £8 posted?
