Short version id like to move to Scotland and I browse the job pages just more too see what's what rather than applying as it's a bit of a pipe dream for me n the missus.
But there is a job come up in my firm up there in a different side. Ops vs the sales role I'm in currently.
Do I go for it n risk upsetting my direct managers here as I'm not sure what the attitude would be as there's no guarantees that if I got offered it I'd go due to family.
I'm half tempted to jump in both feet 1st n deal with any issues as they occur.
there’s no guarantees that if I got offered it I’d go due to family.
I'd figure out what you want first. Applying for another role with the same company, being successful and then turning it down sounds like the worst of all worlds!
Assuming a) the job is a good one that you'd like to do b) salary is acceptable c) it's the right part of Scotland then it's all about figuring out if you really want to move before putting in an application.
